Juani has joined the cast of Ava DuVernay's HBO Max series 'DMZ --- a limited series adaption of the DC comic series by the same name. DMZ is a dystopian, live-action drama set in the near future, in the backdrop of a second American Civil War that has turned Manhattan into a demilitarized zone.
Juani will recur opposite Rosario Dawson and Benjamin Bratt, as Carmen --- a graceful, strong, street-smart woman, with her eyes on the throne, where she'll reign next to her partner Parco (Bratt) if he wins over the DMZ.
Filming is underway in Atlanta this summer, with Roberto Patino as executive producer, writer and showrunner of the series.
